Swindon Advertiser December 2008
Part of the Newsquest Media Group, The Swindon Advertiser website has just started showing videos produced by BizView.tv, where they are considered to be of interest to local readers. For example the new video for Steam is one of the first to be shown, along with a video about the Swindon based National Bullying Helpline and videos from the local Artsmad projects edited by BizView. Beware The Tax Man December 2008
BizView.tv have just completed the first part of a very interesting project for a North Wales based company called Rateable Value.co.uk . Property experts, Rateable Value have designed a simple and legal way of offsetting the worst effects of the tax on empty commercial properties. The law changed in April 2008 so that all empty commercial properties were liable for 100% of the commercial rates. Many owners of empty properties are now receiving large bills for properties that generate no income. BizView.tv recently became steam train enthusiasts after spending a day down at Steam, the Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon. They were filming a brand new promotional video for the world famous museum and interviewed amongst visitors and staff, Pete Waterman the Museum’s patron. The video is now live on the web and can be seen on YouTube, The Swindon Advertiser web site and of course on BizView.tv. watch video
BizView.tv Wins First Award November 2008
BizView.tv have been nominated for the forthcoming North Wiltshire New Business Awards to be announced on 21st November. They did this by first winning the Wootton Bassett New Business Award at a special ceremony in Cricklade on October 30th. Director Paul Dunn commented "it’s great to be recognised for our innovation and originality by winning the local award. Now we have to try and impress the judges for the regional awards".
Second Cadventure Video November 2008
BizView.tv have just completed their second major commission for CAD and IT solutions company Cadventure. MD Paul Lewis wanted to introduce website visitors to the newly arrived Z Printer 650 being shown for the first time at a recent exhibition. BizView went with him to the exhibition and produced a short film introducing the new 3D printer and all its features through a series of interviews with key Z Corp and Cadventure staff. watch video
BizView Down on The Farm October 2008
Donning wellies and straw hats, the BizView crew were recently invited to shoot a new promotional film amongst the haystacks and milk churns of a farm just outside Swindon. Not just an ordinary farm this is Chapel Farm near Blunsdon, recently acquired by events company Chordiem as a brand new outdoor events venue. Teaming up with the local farmer, Chordiem’s Nev Leaning has created a unique corporate events and education venue combining bucolic beauty with farm fun and frolics. They commissioned BizView to capture the essence of the farm with their unique broadcast style BizView video. watch video
Web Design Collaboration September 2008
BizView.tv have just agreed an informal partnership with Gloucestershire based web design company Duck on Water. The company, run by web designer Duncan Michael-MacGregor, has joined forces with BizView.tv to offer low cost, high quality video content for their clients’ websites. Duck on Water have embedded several BizView videos on their site to show their power and effectiveness to prospective and existing clients. see website
Energy Efficiency Explained July 2008
Property experts, Godwin and Ellis have just launched a brand new website to promote the use of Energy Performance Certificates, now legally required for many commercial and residential properties. To help explain the complexities of the system they commissioned 2 interview based videos from BizView.tv, featuring Managing Director Peter Godwin, which now form an essential part of the new site. watch video
Flux, the Swindon based youth arts project have just taken delivery of a second video edited by BizView.tv. The project run by Artsmad, a local council initiative, first used BizView at the start of 2008 and were so pleased with the result they decided to do so again this summer. They supplied BizView with raw video footage of events they’d organised as well as recorded music composed by some of the young people involved in the project. BizView editor Paul Dunn then used his experience and creativity to combine these elements and produce a professional music video for use on the Flux Project website. watch video
Primary School Video June 2008
Leighterton Primary school in the South Cotswolds has just taken delivery of a brand new BizView video for use on their forthcoming new website. The video features Headteacher, Jenny Kiss describing the facilities offered by the school as well as lots of footage of the children studying and playing in this beautiful rural setting. watch video
BizView.tv has just set a new internal company record for delivery of a finished video to a customer. Chevron Technical Services, an aircraft maintenance organisation, wanted a BizView video for their website but also to exhibit at a tradeshow at London’s Olympia only 5 days after the scheduled day of the shoot. “We pulled out all the stops” commented BizView director and editor Paul Dunn. “The video was shot on the Thursday, we had a first edit including all cutaways ready by Saturday. Sunday saw delivery of the product to the customer for approval and the finished film was safely installed on a DVD at Olympia by Tuesday afternoon”.
“We basically compressed a months work into a long weekend”, commented fellow director Dave Harries, “but if the customer requires that speed of service we can and will deliver”. watch video
An all girls convent school in south west London has given the go ahead for their brand new BizView video to be embedded in their new website this summer. Gumley House Convent School were delighted with the result after BizView came to film with headteacher Sister Brenda Wallace in early April. “Thank you for such a splendid piece of work” said deputy head Steve Byrne, “we’re very pleased with the outcome”. Gumley House hope to go live with the video on the new website in late May or early June this year. watch video

IGM Investmore, a dynamic technology company providing financial data to private investors and UK businesses has become the latest organisation to benefit from a BizView video on their website. Not only that, but MD, Steve Purvis is now offering the BizView product to IGM’s own corporate clients through their new Kinetic corporate communications platform. “The BizView video really worked for us” commented Steve, “So we realised it would work for our clients as well – it’s a really excellent tool for internal communications as well as for general website use”. watch video
Surrey based secondary school, Collingwood College have just received a brand new BizView video featuring an interview with their Principal Jerry Oddie. The school commissioned the video for use on their forthcoming website, due to go live later this year. Shooting took place in mid February and the first edit was available for comments within a fortnight. “I think it's fabulous” commented Principal Oddie, “I would have to say I think it's a first-class advert for the College.” watch video
BizView.tv officially launched on 22 February and simultaneously unveiled their brand new website. Although the company has been going since the Autumn of 2007, they decided to hold off on an official launch until they’d thoroughly road-tested their unique interview based BizView videos and constructed a suitable website to display the product. Director Dave Harries commented, "Our business is all about improving websites with excellent video content so we have to ensure that the product works exactly the way we want and that we have a website that does it justice".
Former GMTV reporter and presenter Jackie Kabler has joined the team at BizView.tv as one of a number of professionally trained broadcast interviewers available to clients. Jackie brings a vast amount of TV experience to the company having worked in the industry for over 12 years. watch video
BizView.tv have recently decided to adopt Final Cut Pro running on Apple Macs as their standard digital video editing software. Chief Video Editor Paul Dunn announced the decision after experimenting with a number of different editing software packages. "In the end it was an easy decision" said Paul "the software is very powerful and I must say the Macs aren’t as temperamental as PCs. The versatility of Final Cut Pro is fairly astounding and of course it’s already an industry standard."
The Flux project have just launched a brand new website (Fluxswindon.co.uk) to promote their work with the young people of Swindon under the Artsmad organisation. The website features a brand new video created by BizView.tv from footage and a soundtrack supplied by Artsmad. BizView were able to use their editing and mixing skills to create a really exciting video for the homepage of the Flux site which give visitors an instant flavour of what the Flux project is all about. watch video
Northcott Theatre January 2008
The leading Theatre in the South West has just taken delivery of a brand new video for their website to coincide with their re-opening after a 12 month restoration project. The video, produced by BizView.tv, features real theatregoers’ first impressions of the smart new building as well as a visual tour of the refurbished sections and interviews with members of staff. The arrival of the video on the website coincides with the happy news that the Theatre is no longer under threat from severe Arts Council cutbacks and has been given the greenlight to continue serving the people of Devon for the foreseeable future. watch video
BizView.tv have just announced their move to new offices just outside Swindon a few miles from Junction 16 of the M4. The new offices, located in the Lime Kiln Business Centre in Wootton Bassett, are perfectly placed for access to London and the South East as well as the South West and South Wales via the M4 Corridor.
Commenting on the move, BizView Director Paul Dunn said the offices offered them a perfect platform for the next few years of growth. "The offices are only 6 months old in a beautifully refurbished listed building" he said "They are equipped with all the latest communications infrastructure and allow plenty of room for future expansion. There’s also some good pubs and restaurants nearby."
Celebrated author Jilly Cooper has just recorded her first ever video newsletter with BizView.tv. Jilly had been writing a quarterly newsletter and posting it on her website. However, when BizView offered to film the newsletter and illustrate it with stills and cutaways she jumped at the chance to have video on her site. Delighted with the results, Jilly has decided to record regular updates several times a year to keep her loyal fans in touch with her everyday life. watch video
