How can you host my video and it still appears as if it's on my website?
We can do this by simply saving the video on our dedicated web server and then giving you a few lines of code to embed in your website. The video will then appear on your website so that visitors to your site can easily view it but will be unaware that it is stored elsewhere. Video files can be quite large so this will save you valuable web space on your site. We can also update the video without having to re-upload to your site or change it in anyway.
How long will it take to make my video?
Once we've agreed where and when the film will be shot, a typical BizView video will usually take about half a day to film. The post production will usually be completed within a month during which time you will get a chance to comment on the first edit and suggest any modifications. The final film will then be ready for you to show on your website. Sometimes filming takes longer if multi-location shoots or many more people are involved. We would discuss likely timescales when you commission your film.
Does the cost include everything?
The cost covers all filming and post production as well as the cost of hosting the film on our dedicated web servers for two years. The only extras you may incur will be expenses and VAT. Expenses will be charged if the location for the film is more than 100 miles from our base in Wiltshire. We charge mileage at 33p a mile and any accommodation (if overnight stays are required and agreed in advance) at cost.
What if something goes wrong during filming?
When you commission a BizView video we take great care to make sure we understand your requirements. The filming itself is strictly controlled by our professional crew and interviewer. However, sometimes things happen that are beyond our control – inappropriate weather for example (if outdoor shots are crucial to the film) or a building evacuation. If sequences need to be re-shot on a different day we would charge you for this extra work unless the need for the extra work was as a result of our negligence or some technical failure in our equipment. We will of course always try our hardest to work around such events and arrive at a mutually agreed solution.
What if I need to change the content of the video in the future?
Updating the video is easily achieved and usually quick but the cost will depend on whether new footage is required or simply a re-edit of existing material
I only want the video available for a certain period.
That's fine, we can take the video off our website at your request.
What video formats can you supply?
As standard we supply the videos as Flash files to play efficiently on websites. However we can output videos in most common formats for use on computers or DVD players for a small additional charge. We can even supply an audio only version, although it might require re-editing to make sense as “radio” style programme (if voiceover referred to a specific picture for example).
Can I specify the screen size?
Our standard screen size 400 by 225 pixels. This is the size it will play at if you link to it with our supplied code. However, flash video can be resized by your IT/web people when they embed the code, to a size that suits the specific requirements of your site.
Can I use my own flash player?
Yes.
Can I have a different interviewer?
The standard package includes a highly experienced and professional interviewer chosen by us. You can choose a different interviewer but this may incur an additional charge depending on their availability and demand.
Can I have a well known personality interview me?
Yes, we can book celebrities to conduct the interview or present a video. Bear in mind, however, the cost of a well known personality maybe quite high and depending on their field of expertise they may not be experienced interviewers.
I'd like you to host my video but I'm expecting it to be popular. Can you handle the bandwidth?
Yes, we use a dedicated server – it only contains our files and videos and it has a very fast, high bandwidth connection to the internet.
I've had a video produced by another company. Will you host it for me?
Yes but we would charge for hosting another company's video.
Who owns the copyright?
BizView Ltd retain the copyright to all their videos unless specifically agreed otherwise with the client.
How long will you host my video for?
We will host the film for you for a minimum of 2 years. A lot of videos will need updating by this time so you may wish to simply remove the film from your website or you can take out a hosting contract with us for a small annual charge. If you choose to update or renew the film with BizView you will get another 2 years hosting included in the cost.
Can our video be put on to YouTube or other social networking sites?
Yes you can upload your video to other sites on the web.
My video is for internal use only.
If your video is for internal use only we would suggest that it be hosted by you. In this case we'll supply you with the video in a suitable format for use on your own internal intranet or in a suitable format for you to distribute to your staff. If you tell us you do not wish the video to be seen outside your organisation we will agree not to put it on our website.
Can my video include music?
Yes, music can easily be added either specially commissioned or pre-recorded. Either way an extra cost will be involved.
How do I add the video to my website?
When the video is complete we will upload the final version to a page on our website. We will then send you a few lines of HTML code by e-mail. This code can simply be cut and pasted into the position on the website where you wish the video to be positioned. You would do this in exactly the same way you modify the site. If you normally employ someone to do this for you then simply send them the code and ask them to do it. It shouldn't take them more than a few minutes once you have decided where the video should go.
Will you add the video to my website for me?
No, we wouldn't normally get involved with the modification of your website. Adding the video embedding code is a simple process that you or your regular webmaster will easily be able to accomplish.
Can my video include footage that we've shot?
Yes, we can certainly take pre-existing footage and incorporate it into a new video, however we cannot guarantee the quality of the footage under these circumstances although we would endeavour to match it with the rest of the film. Also we would have to ascertain the copyright of the material to ensure we had permission to include it in the new production. The pre-existing footage should be supplied to us on DVD. We can't accept responsibility for loss or damage to any other media formats.
I just need some editing done, can you help?
Yes we can do editing only projects which we would quote for on a case by case basis. Obviously the quality of the finished film would depend on the quality of the original footage.
We do a lot of business in Europe. Can you translate the video into other languages?
Yes, all our work can be translated either with voiceover or subtitles.
What about the small print? (Terms and Conditions)
When you decide you'd like to use BizView.tv to make your video we'll normally ask you to sign a contract. This protects you and us from any unexpected occurrences and lays out clearly what we can expect from each other (in other words how much it will cost you and what you'll get in return for your money). Feel free to call or e-mail us if you have any questions.
